Sara Tavousi
Jinha - Womens News Agency 5 Sept 2024
<<Suspicious death of Iranian journalist Sara Tavousi
Iranian journalist Sara Tavousi died suspiciously after taking a photo
of Mohammad Reza Aref's son attending a government meeting.
News Center- Iranian journalist Sara Tavousi took a photo of Mohammad
Reza’s son, Hamid Reza Aref, attending a government meeting on September
3. The journalist died suspiciously after publishing an article with the
photo. <Taking photos was prohibited at the meeting. The journalist
should not have taken the photo. The journalist will not be allowed to
attend meetings anymore,> government officials said in a statement,
instead of explaining why Hamid Reza Aref had attended the meeting.
Journalist Sara Tavousi died suspiciously following the statement from
government officials. The initial official statement on her death claims
that the journalist fell from a height; however, the death certificate
of the journalist says that the journalist died in a car accident.
Discussions about the reason for the journalist's death continue in the
country.>>

Raheleh Rahemipour
NCRI - Womens committee - 4 Sept 2024 - in Women's News
<<Raheleh Rahemipour: Health Crisis of Elderly Activist Ignored by Iran
Authorities
Raheleh Rahemipour, a 71-year-old civil rights activist in Iran, is
enduring severe health issues while serving a six-year prison sentence
in Tehran's Evin Prison. Mrs. Rahemipour is persecuted for seeking
justice for her disappeared family. Despite her deteriorating condition,
the Iranian regime has refused to transfer her medical file for an
independent review. This refusal highlights the broader issue of medical
negligence toward political prisoners in Iran. Raheleh Rahemipour, who
is currently imprisoned in Evin Prison, Tehran, has been suffering from
multiple health conditions, including a brain tumor. At 71 years old,
her physical state has significantly declined, making it extremely
difficult for her to endure the harsh conditions of incarceration.
Recently, Mrs. Rahemipour requested that her medical file be sent to the
Iranian Legal Medicine Organization (similar to a medical review board)
for further evaluation, hoping for some form of relief or medical
furlough. However, on September 3, 2024, Rahemipour was informed that
the prosecutor’s office denied this request. The denial was allegedly
linked to her participation in a sit-in protest and her solidarity with
fellow inmates. This decision has raised concerns among human rights
organizations, as it seems to punish Rahemipour further for her activism
and resistance. Rahemipour was previously hospitalized in late January
2024 due to her poor health. She was admitted to the hospital for two
days, during which she underwent a heart angiography before being
returned to Evin Prison. Her health condition has been a recurring
issue, yet the clerical regime has continuously failed to provide
adequate medical care. Raheleh Rahemipour's ordeal began on November 12,
2019, when she was arrested in Tehran by security forces. She was
detained at Evin Prison's notorious Ward 2A, controlled by the
Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). After some time, Rahemipour was
temporarily released but was later charged with <collusion and
propaganda against the regime.> Her trial was held on June 16, 2020, at
Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, where she was ultimately
sentenced to six years in prison. In November 2023, Raheleh Rahemipour
was again arrested after appearing at the Evin Court and was
subsequently imprisoned to serve her sentence. The case of Raheleh
Rahemipour exemplifies the Iranian regime's systemic neglect of the
health and rights of political prisoners. Despite her advanced age and
serious medical conditions, the regime's refusal to allow an independent
medical review reflects its broader policy of suppressing dissent. As
Rahemipour and other political prisoners continue to suffer,
international pressure on the Iranian government remains crucial in
advocating for their basic human rights and medical care.>>

Luqman Zangi (Arab) and his son Siamand Zangi
Hengaw Organisation for Human Right - 4 Sept 2024
<<Kurdish Father and Son Arrested by Iranian Security Forces
Luqman Zangi (Arab) and his son, Siamand Zangi, were arrested by

September 4, 2024, 52-year-old Luqman Zangi, from the village of 'Kani
Surak' in Oshnovieh, and his 22-year-old son, Siamand Zangi, were
arrested by security forces during a raid on their family home. The raid
was conducted without the presentation of a search warrant. Despite the
Zangi family's efforts to ascertain the fate of Luqman and Siamand,
their attempts have been unsuccessful, and security institutions have
refused to provide any specific information regarding their situation.

and the charges against them remain unknown.>>

Abdul Wahid
Hengaw Organisation for Human Right - 4 Sept 2024
<<Iranian Security Forces Arrest Baloch Man
A Baloch man named Abdul Wahid Hot was arrested by security forces of
the Islamic Republic of Iran in Chabahar. According to a report received
by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, September 3,
2024, IRGC intelligence forces violently arrested Abdul Wahid Hot, 38
years old, from the Talang region and a resident of Chabahar. The arrest
was carried out without presenting an arrest warrant, and he was
subsequently taken to an unknown location. Informed sources report that
Abdul Wahid Hot was arrested after leaving his workplace by plainclothes
agents from the intelligence department of the IRGC, and his car was
also seized. Despite the efforts of Abdul Wahid Hot's family to inquire
about his whereabouts, security agencies have denied his arrest. As of

reasons for his arrest, the charges against him, or his current
whereabouts.>>
