Preface - recapitulation
As our readers know I usually start at the most recent day but in this
situation I have to start when it all actually/factually started:
30 November 2022 , when dozens of girls' schools in Qom needed
hospitalization after a biological attact i.e. poisoning. Since then
hundreds of students have been poisoned in 60 schools in Qom, which were
mostly girls' first and second secondary schools. These incidents are
not limited to Qom and its scope has been extended to other cities such
as Borujerd, Sari, Ardabil and Tehran.
Mohammad Taqi Fazel Meibdi, a teacher of the district and university,
said that the act of poisoning students in girls' schools is directed
from Qom and Isfahan and by shia extrimists wanting all girl schools in
Iran to close.
All victims then and now have suffered/suffer from respiratory problems,
nausea, dizziness and fatigue and on March 8 2023 Fatemeh Rezaei - 11
died of it as well as on March 3 2023 Sanaz Jamshidi died after an
attack. Allah has their souls.
The government says that all related news is based on speculation and
rumors. But fact is that deputy health minister Younes Panahi and
Homayoun Sameh Najafabadi, a member of the health commit-tee of the
parliament are contradictory in their statements and Youssef Nouri, the
minister of education called the reports about the poisoning of
schoolgirls <rumors>. Now, officials from the govern- ment, are hidding
behind each others' back and fact is that neither them nor the
government let alone the NAJA, law enforcement, i.e. the prosecutar
general do not give it enough effort to solve these criminal acts
because that's what they are and all officials from the government are
simply incompetent.
Child rights activist Parvin Azad said <The government claimed that Jina
Mahsa Amini died after falling ill. The government does the same in
poisoning cases at schools. The people do not trust in the government
anymore.>

<<Shia Extremists Suspected In Schoolgirl Poisonings In Iran
Women's right to education is still not fully recognized in Iran, where
Shia fundamentalists continue to try and prevent girls from attending
school, possibly by poisoning them. Hundreds of Iranian schoolgirls have
fallen sick and scores have been hospitalized in the religious city of
Qom over the past three months, triggering growing suspicion they had
been poisoned. On February 26, Deputy Health Minister Younes Panahi
implicitly confirmed the poisonings had been delibe-rate, saying that
<some people wanted all schools, especially girls' schools, to be
closed,> according to the IRNA state news agency.
Panahi did not elaborate.
....
So far, no arrest has been announced in relation to the poisonings.
The Main Suspects
There have been speculations that radical Islamist groups may have been
involved in the poisonings. In a February 26 interview with Shargh
newspaper, university professor Mohammad Taqi Fazel Meybodi said that a
group called Hezaregara Shias may have played a role. According to
Meybodi, this group has many supporters in Qom and Borojerd who think
that girls should not be allowed to study. Its followers believe in the
imminent end of the current world system and the emergence of the 12th
Imam. Twelver Shia followers believe their 12th imam, the Mahdi,
disappeared in 947 and remains <hidden> until his return. A group called
Fadaiyan Velayat claimed responsibility for the poisonings in a
statement published on eitaa.com, an instant messaging network under the
supervision of the Islamic Republic. The message was quickly removed.
....
There is also no clear information about the possible side effects of
the poisonings. According to sources, some poisoned students have
suffered lasting numbness in their legs and vision loss. There have even
been reports of one victim going blind and dying.
....
The lack of arrests raises suspicion that security institutions are
either cooperating with the attackers or attempting to cover up the
incidents. An informed source at Qom's Valiasr Hospital told Radio Farda
that the army's presence in the facility was hindering staff from doing
their jobs properly. They caused panic, monitored the staff, and took
the children's blood test results to their own laboratory. >>

<<'Students in Iran are poisoned by the government'
News Center- In Iran, hundreds of female students have been hospitalized
for suspected poisoning since November. According to some reports, about
900 students have been hospitalized for suspected poisoning. But
activists say the number is more than reported.
In an interview with NuJINHA, child rights activist Parvin Azad said, <Fatemeh
Rezaei, an eleven-year-old girl, has died in Qom because of the
poisonings. However, her family said that she died due to her illness
after being threatened.> Parvin Azad also said that the people do not
trust in the government anymore, adding, <The government claimed that
Jina Mahsa Amini died after falling ill. The government does the same in
poisoning cases at schools. The people do not trust in the government
anymore. According to the official reports, 900 students have been
hospitalized for poisoning. However, we think the number of students is
more than reported.>
'Students are poisoned by the government'
'The government is responsible for the poisoning of students,' Parvin
Azad said, <The government poisons the female students to instill fear
in students and their families with the aim of keeping them at home.
Because, female students are on the frontline of the <Jin, Jiyan, Azadi>
protests. They remove their hijabs to protest the regime. The regime is
afraid of the protests to be held by female students. For this reason,
the government poisons the female students to prevent them from holding
protests.>
'Young people are the future'
<The regime targets young people because young people are the future.
Despite everything, young people are determined to change the regime.
Not only students but also teachers must take to the streets to protest
the regime. If we do not take to the streets, the regime will commit
more crimes against humanity.> >>

NCRI - in Maryam Rajavi Speeches
4 March 2023
<<Maryam Rajavi: Women's Leadership Guarantees Democracy and Equality
On the eve of International Women's Day (IWD2023), the NCRI
President-elect Maryam Rajavi addressed a women's conference in
Brussels, Belgium, titled <Women's Leadership Guarantees Democracy and
Equality,> on March 4, 2023.
The text of her remarks follows:
As we celebrate International Women's Day, we send our warmest greetings
to the pioneering women commanding the uprising in Iran and to the brave
women of the Resistance Units. We pay tribute to the 83 women who became
martyrs during the uprising, from Mahsa Amini to Zarbibi Ismail Zehi in
Zahedan. We extend our infinite greetings to all the courageous women
who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice for Iran's democratic
revolution, enduring immense suffering and torture. These are the women
who have been arrested, tortured, and brutally attacked, some losing
their sight and even their lives under torture. We also pay tribute to
the women leaders who have carried the torch of struggle and resistance
against the religious dictatorship for more than four decades,
generation after generation. They have been executed or killed under
torture in the thousands, yet they are the standard-bearers of Iran's
democratic revolution. They represent the true spirit of Iranian women,
who have risen up as warriors and sacrificed their lives to liberate a
nation held captive.
First and foremost, we express our sympathies to the parents of the
students affected by the chain poisoning of schoolgirls in various
cities and regions of Iran, and we salute their resistance and protest
against this criminal regime. The poisoning of these students has been
ongoing for three months, and there is no doubt that it is organized
and ordered by the regime. Khamenei's office is seeking revenge on the
girls who played a decisive role in the recent uprising in Iran and is
attempting to terrorize them. Once again, we urge the United Nations,
particularly relevant agencies such as UNICEF and the Special Rapporteur
on Violence Against Women, to investigate and respond firmly. Iranian
women, Khamenei's endless nightmare
This year's International Women's Day has gained a unique radiance and
unparalleled credibility, all thanks to the remarkable bravery of
Iranian women who have risen up against the oppressive mullahs' regime. This is what makes this year different from all the past years because
it has revealed a great truth: women play a unique role in shaping
society's destiny. A century ago, women fought for the right to vote,
and today, they are fighting to change the world, from one of barbarism
into a world of freedom, justice, and equality. A revolution of
unprecedented magnitude is underway in Iran, setting a united front of
people against the oppressive and misogynistic regime of the mullahs. It
is a nationwide uprising that rejects the present and past regimes and
is poised to establish a democratic republic, pursuing the same path
that the Iranian Resistance and its vanguard women have been paving for
over four decades. Iran's brave and resilient women, with their
unwavering bravery and tireless activism, have become Khamenei's
perpetual nightmare. >>

<<Second high school girl falls victim to biological terror attacks
Sister of slain protester receives a 25-year sentence, four relatives of
slain protester detained, poet arrested. A second life has been claimed
by the recent series of biological terror attacks on high school girls,
according to social media reports released on Friday, March 3, 2023. The
victim has been identified as Sanaz Jamshidi, although no further
details on her age or school are available.
This follows the death of Fatemeh Rezaei, an 11-year-old student in Qom,
who was the first to fall victim to these tragic attacks. Reports
suggest that the clerical regime has organized these biological terror
attacks to avenge the high school girls' active participation in the
Iran uprising. Shockingly, nearly 500 students have been treated for gas
poisoning over the past three months.>>

<<US, Germany Call For <Full> Probe Into Iranian Schoolgirl Poisonings
Germany has joined the United States in expressing concern over a wave
of poisonings at girls' schools across Iran and in calling on the
country's authorities to thoroughly investigate the incidents. Over the
past three months, hundreds of school students, mostly girls, have been
treated for poisoning symptoms, including nausea, head-aches, coughing,
breathing difficulties, and heart palpitations. Some Iranians have
suggested that the poisonings could be an attempt to force the closure
of girls' schools or a retaliation for students and women leading
ongoing nationwide protests sparked by the death of a 22-year-old woman,
Mahsa Amini, in the custody of morality police.
<The reports of schoolgirls being poisoned in #Iran are shocking. Girls
must be able to go to school without fear,> German Foreign Minister
Annalena Baerbock tweeted on March 3. <This is nothing less than their #humanright.
All cases must be fully investigated.>
In Washington, US National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said
that the news coming out of Iran are <deeply concerning.>
<Truth is, we don't know right now what caused those ailments. We see
reports that the Iranian government are investigating it, that's the
right course of action,> Kirby added. <We want those investigations to
be thorough and complete, and we want them to be transparent. Little
girls going to school should only have to worry about learning. They
shouldn't have to worry about their own physical safety, but we just
don't know enough right now.> But Jason Brodsky, policy director at the
US non-profit advocacy organization United Against Nuclear Iran, asked,
<How can the Biden administration expect Iran's regime to conduct a
'transparent' investigation into the chemical attacks? The system is
based on opacity, corruption, gaslighting, and coverups,> Brodsky wrote
on Twitter.>>

<<Iran's Top Sunni Cleric Calls For Action Against Schoolgirl Poisonings
Iran's most prominent Sunni cleric has urged the authorities to act
against a wave of poisonings at girls' schools, suggesting that the
incidents could be a retaliation for students participating in ongoing
nationwide protests. Molavi Abdolhamid, the Sunni Friday prayer leader
of the southeastern city of Zahedan, made the comments in his Friday
sermon on March 3, ahead of weekly protests demanding fundamental
economic, social and political reforms. Activists said there was a large
presence of security forces in the restive city as hundreds of
anti-government demontrators took to the streets of, chanting slogans
such as <I will kill whoever killed my brother.>
Internet monitor NetBlocks reported a <significant disruption> to
Internet connectivity, saying that it <follows a pattern of network
blackouts targeting continued Friday protests.> >>

<<Schoolgirl Poisonings: Iran Ex-Minister Denounces Authorities'
<Indifference>
Iranian former education minister Mohammad Bathaei has apologized for
the officials' <indifference and carelessness> toward a wave of
poisonings at Iranian girls' schools, while many social media users
criticized the security forces for brutally cracking down on the angry
families of those affected. Over the past three months, hundreds of
school students across Iran, mostly girls, have been treated for
poisoning symptoms, including nausea, headaches, coughing, breathing
difficulties, and heart palpitations. Human rights groups said students
in at least 26 schools were affected on March 1 alone, as videos emerged
on social media showing security forces suppressing protesting families.
While political figures and activists have described the incidents as
<chemical> and <biological> at-tacks, officials have only recently
admitted there may be a problem.
This week, President Ebrahim Raisi said the Interior Ministry should
probe the incidents, with help from the health and intelligence
ministries, and quickly release the results to the public. In an
interview with Shargh newspaper on March 2, Bathaei said he<cannot
understand why the government and the Ministry of Education are showing
such cold-heartedness toward the repeated incidents of student
poisoning. As a former teacher within the education system, I apologize
to the public for the officials' lack of concern, indifference, and
carelessness regarding this issue,> he added.
<Education is a Human Right>
The officials' passivity in the face of the problem has prompted some to
accuse the government of purposely poisoning school children as
retaliation for students and women leading anti-government protests
sparked by the death of a 22-year-old woman, Mahsa Amini, in the custody
of morality police.
....
Amnesty International said that the <gas attacks in girls' schools in
Iran raise grave concerns about increasing gender-based violence against
women and girls for bravely standing up for their rights.> >>

Opinion by Gino d'Artali: is the most likely possibility of criminal and
premeditated acts investigated by the NAJA, law enforcement? Not a word
from them. Except:
But deputy health minister Younes Panahi said that <It was found that
some people wanted all schools, especially girls' schools, to be closed.
It has been revealed that the chemical compounds used to poison students
are not war chemicals, and the poisoned students do not need aggressive
treatment, and a large percentage of the chemical agents used are
treatable,> he told a press conference.
Homayoun Sameh Najafabadi, a member of the health committee of the
parliament, also confirmed in an interview with Didbaniran web-site that
the poisoning of female students in schools of Qom and Borujerd is
intentional. These statements are made in a situation that earlier
Youssef Nouri, the Minister of Education called the reports about the
poisoning of schoolgirls <rumors>, claiming that the students taken to
the hospital had <underlying diseases>.
However, on Sunday, Majid Monemi, the deputy governor of Lorestan, said
50 female students of a high school in Borujerd, western Iran, were
poisoned again.
And isn't the basij not always saying the same (<underlying diseases>
when they kill a protester like when they killed Jina Mahsa Amini on 16
September 2022!? And protesters now say they cannot trust anyone from
the government anylonger.
One mother is asking:
<Why this war against our daughters who only want to go to school?>
