Yes, lets face facts: the regime of khamenei has a devastating effect on
everything and everybody (workers, teachers and retirees over payments)
and a worsening economic situation triggered by years of sanctions and
political instability the currency of the rial towards the USD is in a

<<Iranian Football Club Asks for Women to be Allowed into Stadium
Iran's Premier League football club Malavan Bandar Anzali FC has asked
the authorities' permission to host female fans in its stadium this
week, when the team plays against Tractor FC. Malavan made the
announcement in a statement on April 11 after the president of the
Iranian football federation claimed that women in all Iranian cities
were now allowed to attend matches. The club of Bandar Anzali, in
northern Iran, said it had sent official letters to the city council and
the football federation to request permission for female fans to attend
the match at Siros Ghayeghran Stadium.
It cited <the recent interview of the football federation's president,>
Medi Taj, and <the provision of proper infrastructure in the stadium> as
reasons for the move. For more than four decades, Iran's clerical
establishment has opposed the idea of women being allowed in stadiums
with male fans. A football fan named Sahar Khodayari died in 2019 after
setting herself on fire over fears that she would be jailed for trying
to attend a match while wearing a disguise. The incident led football’s
world governing body, FIFA, to push for changes in the Islamic
Republic's policy toward women fans. FIFA has called on Iranian
authorities to allow women into football stadiums, but only a restricted
number of them have been allowed to attend a few games in recent years.>>

<<Sahar Khodayari 1990 – 9 September 2019), Allah has her soul, also
known as Blue Girl was an Iranian fan of Esteghlal F.C. In March 2019,
she attempted to enter the male-only Azadi Stadium disguised as a man to
watch a match played by the team, against the national ban on women at
such events. On 2 September the same year, she was told by the Islamic
Revolutionary Court of Tehran that she may face a six-month prison
sentence. After leaving court, she committed suicide through
self-immolation in front of the building. She died a week later of her
injuries. Khodayari's self-immolation has generated much debate in Iran
about the government's restrictions on women. With Iran chosen to host
select qualifier games for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, FIFA has said that
Iran must allow women into the stadium to see those international
football matches. Iran guaranteed such entry for the first time after 40
years, one month after Sahar's death.>> Source: Wikipedia.

<<Prominent Iranian Activist Qoliyan Charged with <Insult>
The Iranian judiciary says it has charged well-known civil rights
activist Sepideh Qoliyan with <insult> after she shouted slogans against
the Islamic Republic's leader upon her release from prison last month.
Speaking at a press conference in Tehran on April 11, judiciary
spokesperson Masoud Setayeshi said that prosecutors sent Qoliyan's
indictment to the Revolutionary Court in Tehran on March 19. After her
release on March 15, Qoliyan posted on Twitter a video of herself
without the mandatory hijab shouting slogans against Supreme Leader Ali
Khamenei outside Tehran's Evin prison. <Khamenei the Zahhak! We'll take
you down into the grave,> she shouted, referring to a mythical king said
to have fed serpents growing out of his shoulders with young people's
brains. The activist was re-arrested five hours later. Qoliyan was
initially detained during a workers' strike in November 2018 and later
sentenced to 19 years and six months in prison. The sentence was reduced
to five years on appeal. She was released last month after being granted
<amnesty.> <Those who were granted amnesty but commit a new crime will
have the amnesty revoked, and the judiciary will deal with their new
crimes according to legal standards,> Setayeshi told reporters.>>

<<Iranian Journalists Arrested, Summoned in Media Crackdown
Iranian authorities have arrested journalist and women's rights activist
Jina Modaresgorji and summoned another reporter, Maryam Vahidian, to a
Revolutionary court amid a crackdown on the media and freedom of
expression. On April 10, Modaresgorji was <kidnapped by unidentified
agents who used violence during her arrest> in Sanandaj, the capital of
Kurdistan province, journalist Farzad Saifikaran wrote on her Instagram
account.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network said that Modaresgorji is being held
at the women's prison in Sanandaj Correctional Center. She had been
summoned several times by the Revolutionary Court of Sanandaj in recent
days. Modaresgorji was previously detained during anti-government
protests in Sanandaj on September 21. She was released on bail after
spending 40 days in custody and was presented with a new charge last
month while appearing in the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in
Sanandaj. Modaresgorji is accused of <acting against national security>
for allegedly setting up an illegal group and being a member of it, in
addition to her previous charge of <propaganda against the regime.> In
Tehran, Vahidian, a journalist who covers labor issues, was summoned to
appear in Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court on April 15. Vahidian was
arrested on November 27 last year when security forces raided her home
in the capital and was remanded in custody for a month. She is accused
of <collusion and intending to disrupt national security.> The
developments come amid a brutal crackdown by the authorities on nearly
seven months of nationwide protests in which hundreds of people were
killed and thousands of others were illegally detained, including dozens
of journalists. Some of the journalists have been released, while others
have been summoned or threatened and had their electronic equipment
seized.>>

<<FIFA Silent as Footballers, Coaches are Targeted for Political Reasons
In November 2022, the hacktivist group Black Reward attacked the
database of Fars News Agency, an affiliate of the Islamic Revolutionary
Guard Corps (IRGC), and claimed to have deleted nearly 250 terabytes of
data from the website from its servers and computers. A day later, the
group published two sets of hacked documents. The first set is about
Iran’s attempt to stifle protests against the Islamic Republic at the
2022 World Cup in cooperation with Qatar, which hosted the competition;
the second set contains the <advice of editors of revolutionary media>
to the Iranian Football Federation, which orders the federation to
coordinate its actions with the IRGC's Intelligence Organization to
prevent players and coaches of the Iranian National Football Team from
expressing solidarity with the nationwide demonstrations. The documents
say that every kind of pressure, financial or otherwise, must be used to
keep members of the national team in line. In one document, security and
intelligence agencies are told that <any punishment and preventive
measure must not be officially announced.> Evidence shows that these
orders have not been rescinded after the World Cup and that footballers
and coaches continue to be pressured and punished for stepping over the
line set by the security establishment of the Islamic Republic. IranWire
has recently asked FIFA, football's world governing body, about its
response to the harassment of Iranian footballers and coaches,
especially members of the National Football Team.>>

<<Iranian students: Take to the streets to protest poisoning of
schoolgirls
News Center- The <Jin, Jiyan, Azadi> protests that started in Iran and
Rojhilat following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini have continued for
seven months while the Iranian authorities have used all kinds of
inhuman methods to quell the protests. One of these methods is
deliberate poisoning of schoolgirls. Many schoolgirls, who were poisoned
at school, still receive treatment at hospitals while some are still in
critical condition
'More protests should be held against such attacks'
The revolutionary student organizations of Bushehr and Tehran issued a
joint statement today. Calling the ongoing poisoning of schoolgirls as
an attack on the struggle of students, the statement said, <This planned
attack, which continues during the new school year is a retaliation
against the struggles of revolutionary students. Progressive students
should try to revive the atmosphere of protest at schools by holding
more protests and taking to the streets. The government attacks students
because it knows very well that students lead the current revolution.>
