<<Iranian Authorities Arrest Baloch Man Lacking National
Identification
Iranian security forces have arrested Abdulmalek Shahouzehi, a
38-year-old resident of Zabol in Sistan and Baluchestan province.
According to a report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human
Rights, Shahouzehi was taken into custody by Iranian security forces on
Saturday, July 13, 2024. As reported by the Baloch Activists Campaign,
the Iranian security agencies, in response to the inquiries about the
whereabouts of this Shaouzehi by his family, have claimed that following
his arrest, he was transferred to a foreign nationals' camp and then to
an unknown location in Zahedan. As of the time of this report, there is
no information available regarding the reasons for the arrest, the place
of detention, and the charges against this Baloch man. The province of
Sistan and Baluchestan faces significant issues due to central
government policies, which have resulted in thousands of individuals
lacking national identification. These individuals are often deprived of
essential healthcare and welfare services. Additionally, they are
subject to frequent arrests by security agencies and, in some cases, are
forcibly relocated to neighboring countries such as Pakistan and
Afghanistan.>>

Women of Rojhilat demand
Sharifeh Mohammadi
Jinha - Womens News Agency 16 July 2024 - by GILARI GILANI
<<Women of Rojhilat demand unconditional release of Sharifeh
Mohammadi
Women of Rojhilat have launched a social media campaign against
the death sentence against labor activist Sharifeh Mohammadi, demanding
her unconditional release. <The death sentence is not only against her
but also all women defending freedom.>
Kermanshah- The death sentence against labor activist Sharifeh
Mohammadi, who has been imprisoned in Lakan prison of Rasht, has kept
sparking outrage all around the world. Amnesty International, labor
unions in Italy, France and Denmark have condemned the death sentence
against the activist and demanded the sentence be reversed. Three women
activists in Kermanshah, a city of Rojhilat Kurdistan have launched a
social media campaign by using the <No to Death Sentence> hashtag,
demanding the death sentence against Sharifeh Mohammadi be reversed and
her unconditional release. <The death sentence against Sharifeh
Mohammadi is a sentence against all women defending freedom,> they said.
'This unjust sentence must be reversed'
<The death sentence against Sharifeh Mohammadi shows the fear of
the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the women's movement and labor
activists,> said H.G., one of the activists. <As women of Kurdistan, we
announce our support for Sharifeh Mohammadi and all women demanding
freedom in Gilan province. This unfair sentence showing the scandal in
Iran's judicial system should be reversed immediately and the labor
activist should be released unconditionally.>
'The death sentence is the government's revenge on the people of
Gilan'
<This death sentence given by an Iranian court is a political
decision,> said B.K., another activist in Kermanshah. <According to
human rights standards and principles, there should not be political
prisoners anywhere. The right to peaceful protests and the right to
freedom of expression should not be criminalized. The women of Gilan
have always been victims of this non-independent and corrupt judicial
system. The death sentence against Sharifeh Mohammadi is the
government's revenge on the people of Gilan for their participation in
the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' uprising. As women of Kurdistan, we will always
stand with the women of Gilan.>
'The sentence is against all women defending freedom'
S.Z., an activist in Sanandaj, also condemned the death sentence
against Sharifeh Mohammadi. <Sharifeh Mohammadi is not alone. We support
her just like we took to the streets of Gilan, Kurdistan and Sistan and
Baluchestan province to support the 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' uprising. The
death sentence against Sharifeh Mohammadi is not only against her but
also all women defending freedom. We demand the death sentence against
her be reversed and her unconditional release.> >>

<<Iran's Anti-Execution Campaign Expands to 11 Prisons on 25th
Week
The <No Execution Tuesdays> campaign, a prisoner-led initiative
against capital punishment in Iran, has entered its 25th consecutive
week. This Tuesday, inmates in Ardabil and Qaimshahr prisons
participated in the campaign, expanding its reach to 11 prisons in the
country. Prisoners participating in the campaign stage weekly hunger
strikes to protest the death penalty and draw domestic and international
attention to what they call <inhuman capital punishment.> The campaign's
continuation comes in the wake of recent executions carried out by the
Islamic Republic's judicial system. According to reliable sources,
unnamed prisoners from Ardabil and Qaimshahr prisons have joined the
movement this week, expressing solidarity with inmates in other
facilities. The campaign now includes participants from various prisons,
including Evin, Ghezelhesar, Karaj Central, Khorramabad, Tabriz, Khoi,
Naqdeh, Mashhad, and Saqqez. Campaigners are urging both political and
non-political prisoners nationwide to join their cause, aiming to
elevate <No to Execution> to a national demand. In last week's
statement, striking prisoners highlighted a new wave of executions and
called for increased domestic and international support for their
anti-death penalty stance. The weekly hunger strike began in February
this year comprising prisoners from various Iranian jails. The number of
executions in Iran reached 853 in 2023, which is the highest recorded
since 2015 and marks a 48 percent increase from 2022 in the aftermath of
the Woman, Life, Freedom protests. The spike in death penalties has
continued into 2024, with at least 95 recorded executions by March 20,
according to Amnesty International.>>

Nasimeh Eslamzehi, a Baluchi woman and mother of two, has been
detained for nearly 11 months in Evin Prison without her fate being
