related to the fall of assad in Syria and the yet
unknown secure position of the Syranian Kurds who are in probable

<<Ongoing wave of arrests in Kurdistan: Four Kurds arrested by security
forces
The wave of arrests targeting Kurds in Kurdistan continues unabated,
with four individuals-Rasoul Pourkhazri, Faiaq Ghaderzadeh, Fardin Nouri,
and Faiaq Rashdiyan-arrested by security forces in the cities of Saqqez,
Oshnavieh (Şino), and Mahabad. This latest development brings the total
number of Kurds detained in December 2024 to 70. According to reports
received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the arrests
occurred under troubling circumstances. At 3 a.m. on Sunday, December
30, 2024, 21-year-old Faiaq Ghaderzadeh, a resident of Mahabad, was
detained at his workplace by security forces. The arrest was carried out
without a search warrant, and he was transferred to an undisclosed
location. On the same day, at 1 a.m., security agents raided the home of
Rasoul Pourkhazri, a resident of the village of Soufian near Oshnavieh.
Pourkhazri was also arrested without the presentation of a search
warrant, and his whereabouts remain unknown. Two other individuals,
Fardin Nouri and Faiaq Rashdiyan, were arrested earlier on Thursday,
December 26, 2024. Both are residents of the village of Khordeloki in
the Sarshiv district of Saqqez. They were arrested by agents of the
Intelligence Department while in the city of Baneh and subsequently
transferred to undisclosed locations.
Families of the detained individuals have been unable to obtain any
information regarding their fate or whereabouts despite persistent
efforts. As of this report, no details have been released about the
reasons for these arrests, or the charges against the detainees.>>

Arrests in Kurdistan reach 71

A Kurdish man from Sardasht, identified as Esmail Osmani, has been
arrested by security forces and transferred to an undisclosed location,
adding to the ongoing wave of detentions targeting Kurdish individuals.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human
Rights, 24-year-old Esmail Osmani was arrested in the early hours of
Saturday, December 28, 2024, at his home. The arrest was carried out by
security agents using excessive force and without the presentation of a
search warrant. Esmail Osmani, an employee of the Sardasht Post Office,
remains in an unknown location three days after his detention, and no
information has been made available about his condition. As of this
report, there has been no explanation regarding the reasons for his
arrest, the charges against him, or his current whereabouts. With this
case, the number of Kurds arrested across various cities in Kurdistan
during December has risen to at least 71.>>

Ongoing wave of Kurdish arrests: Three men arrested in Oshnavieh
Security forces have arrested three Kurdish men-Rahman Tabesh, Kourosh
Azizi, and Hedi Shadikhah-in Oshnavieh (Şino), transferring them to
undisclosed locations. At least 66 Kurds have been arrested in Iran
during December 2024 alone. According to reports received by the Hengaw
Organization for Human Rights, Rahman Tabesh, a former political
prisoner, was arrested at his family home in Oshnavieh at 4 a.m. on
Monday, December 30, 2024, by agents of the Intelligence Department.
Simultaneously Hedi Shadikhah, a resident of the village of Singan, was
arrested at his family home. During the arrests of Tabesh and Shadikhah,
intelligence agents created an atmosphere of intimidation and used
excessive force, including searching their homes. Kourosh Azizi, another
former political prisoner, was arrested at his workplace on Sunday,
December 29, 2024. Security agents later raided his home and conducted a
search. Rahman Tabesh was previously arrested in 2020 and sentenced to
three years and six months in prison on charges of <membership in the
Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan.> He served part of his sentence
in the prisons of Oshnavieh and Naqadeh before being released. Kourosh
Azizi was arrested in 2018 on similar charges and sentenced to four
years in prison, with three years enforceable. He began serving his
sentence on December 22, 2019, in Oshnavieh Central Prison and was later
conditionally released.>>

The ongoing wave of arrests targeting Kurds by Islamic Republic of Iran
security forces has continued with the detention of two individuals,
Jamal Sheikhehpour and Afshin Khalifehzadeh, in Mahabad. According to a
report obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the
early hours of Sunday, December 29, 2024, agents from the Intelligence
Department arrested Jamal Sheikhehpour and Afshin Khalifehzadeh, two
residents of Qom Qaleh, a village near Mahabad. They have been
transferred to an undisclosed location. Reports indicate that the
arrests were conducted without the presentation of arrest warrants and
involved the use of excessive force at the individuals' homes. As of
this writing, no details have been made available regarding the reasons
for the arrests, the charges against the detainees, or their current
whereabouts.>>

Amid an ongoing wave of arrests in Kurdistan, three more Kurdish
individuals-Khaled Mohammadian, Amin Baziyan, and Waysa (known as Sayko
Roj)-have been arrested by security forces in Sardasht and Piranshahr.
This brings the total number of recent arrests in Piranshahr to six.
According to reports received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights,
early on Saturday, December 28, 2024, Waysa (Sayko Roj), 25, a resident
of Piranshahr, and Khaled Mohammadian, a native of Nestan village in
Sardasht and resident of Rabat, were arrested without arrest warrants
and taken to unknown locations. Sources report that security forces,
using unmarked vehicles, raided Khaled Mohammadian's home, arresting him
and conducting a search of his residence. Additionally, on Friday,
December 27, Amin Baziyan, 22, a resident of Piranshahr, was detained by
intelligence forces and transferred to an unknown location. Despite
three days having passed since his arrest, no information about his
condition or whereabouts has been made available. With the arrests of
Waysa (Sayko) and Amin Baziyan, the number of arrested people in
Piranshahr over the past two days has risen to six.
Previously, Hengaw reported on the arrest of four other people: Aram
Mohammadi, a resident of Pasveh village in Piranshahr; Behzad Mahmoudi,
27, also from Pasveh; Mousa Rasouli, 30, from Khoranj village; and Soran
Mohammadpour, 25, from Piranshahr. These individuals were reportedly
arrested during widespread raids by intelligence forces on their homes.
According to Hengaw's sources in Piranshahr, the intelligence forces
used intimidation and excessive violence during these arrests and home
searches, confiscating personal items such as mobile phones. Efforts by
the families of these individuals to obtain information about their
condition or whereabouts have so far been fruitless. Security
authorities have refused to provide any explanation regarding their
detention. So far, no clear details about the reasons for the arrests,
the charges filed, or the current status of these Kurdish individuals

The number of individuals arrested in Piranshahr has risen to four
following the arrest of three additional Kurdish residents by security
forces. The detainees, identified as Behzad Mohammadi, Soran
Mohammadpour, and Mousa Rasouli, were subjected to violent treatment
during the arrests.
According to reports received by the Hengaw Organization for Human
Rights, the arrests were carried out in the early hours of Friday,
December 27, 2024. Behzad Mohammadi, 27, from the village of Pasveh;
Mousa Rasouli, 30, from the village of Khorenj; and Soran Mohammadpour,
25, from Piranshahr, were taken into custody during raids conducted by
the Intelligence Department at their homes. Hengaw had previously
reported the arrest of Aram Mohammadi, another resident of Pasveh, who
was arrested under similar circumstances. Sources in Piranshahr have
reported that security forces employed intimidation and excessive
violence during the arrests. The detainees' homes were also searched,
and personal belongings, including mobile phones, were confiscated. As
of this report, no details have been released regarding the reasons for
the arrests, the charges against the detainees, or their current

<<Arrests of Kurds by security forces persist
Amid the ongoing wave of arrests targeting Kurds, Aram Mohammadi, a
resident of the village of Pasveh near Piranshahr, was detained by
forces from the Intelligence Department. According to a report received
by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mr. Mohammadi was arrested
during a raid on his home in the early hours of Friday, December 27,
2024. Intelligence agents entered the home without presenting a search
warrant, used excessive force during the arrest, and detained him in the
presence of his two children. He was subsequently transferred to an
undisclosed location.
As of this report, no information has been provided regarding the
reasons for Mr. Mohammadi’s arrest, the charges against him, or his
