Rayan Abu Maala
Quds news - Dec 21, 2025
{Israeli forces shoot dead 16-year-old Palestinian boy in Qabatiya as
video sparks outrage
A shocking video captures Israeli soldiers shooting 16-year-old Rayan
Abu Maala from point-blank range in Qabatiya, then blocking medics,
leaving him to bleed to death, and seizing his body.
Qabatiya (QNN)- Israeli forces murdered a child from point blank on
Saturday evening in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, in the
occupied West Bank. A video of the crime surfaced today stirred outrage.
The Ministry of Health said 16-year-old Rayan Mohammad Abdul Qader Abu
Maala was shot by Israeli forces. The ministry said Israeli authorities
are still holding his body. Local sources said Israeli troops stormed
Qabatiya and spread through its streets. Soldiers opened live fire
toward residents. Rayan Abu Maala was shot during the incursion. Israeli
forces blocked Palestinian Red Crescent ambulances from reaching the
wounded child. He was left bleeding on the ground until he died.
Soldiers later seized his body. A video documenting the shooting spread
widely on social media and triggered public anger. The footage shows the
teenager walking along the roadside in Qabatiya. He then encounters
Israeli soldiers who open direct and heavy fire from point blank. He
collapses to the ground after being hit. Local sources said the video
contradicts the Israeli army’s claim. The army claimed the child threw a
stone at soldiers. The footage shows the boy appearing surprised by the
presence of the force. He did not pose a threat before the shooting.
Following the video’s release, activists described the incident as a
deliberate field execution. Many said the footage documents a complete
crime carried out in public view. The incident comes amid a sharp rise
in Israeli crimes across the West Bank. Many of these cases are recorded
on camera and shared publicly. Despite this, international silence
continues. Rights advocates warn that the absence of accountability
fuels the use of lethal force. They say it entrenches a policy of
impunity and puts Palestinian lives at constant risk. Since the start of
the genocide in Gaza on October 8, 2023, Israeli forces and settlers
have intensified attacks across the West Bank. Palestinians and their
property remain frequent targets.} Video - Source: https://qudsnen.co/post?id=66921&slug=israeli-forces-shoot-dead-16-year-old-palestinian-boy-in-qabatiya-as-video-sparks-outrage

Israeli Attacks Continue Across Gaza
Quds news - Dec 21, 2025
{Israeli Attacks Continue Across Gaza, Killing Two Civilians
Israel killed two Palestinians near the yellow line in eastern Gaza as
shelling and helicopter attacks continued, while hospitals warned of
collapse due to Israel’s medical blockade.
Gaza (QNN)- Two civilians were killed by Israeli fire near the so-called
“yellow line” in the Shujaiya neighborhood of eastern Gaza, the Baptist
Hospital said. Israeli artillery shelling and helicopter gunfire
targeting areas east of Khan Younis, where Israeli forces remain
deployed in violatiin with Trup's ceasefire deal. Israel’s Channel 12
quoted a security source saying the army has nearly completed sweep
operations behind the “yellow line.” The source claimed Israeli forces
had 'disarmed' about 52 percent of the empty Gaza areas under their
control. Despite a ceasefire that took effect on October 10, Israeli
forces continue to target Palestinians across Gaza. These violations
have killed over 400 people.
Medical Blockade
The humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate. Kuwait Specialized
Field Hospital in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis announced a full halt
to all scheduled and emergency surgeries. The hospital cited a severe
shortage of essential medical supplies. Hospital management said
hundreds of patients remain on waiting lists across all specialties. The
decision deprives thousands of wounded and sick Palestinians of basic
care. The hospital warned it may shut down completely if border
crossings remain closed and medical supplies remain blocked. Figures
shared with QNN reveal the scale of the collapse. Gaza’s Ministry of
Health reports that 84 percent of critical medications are currently
unavailable. Zaher Al-Wahidi, Director of Gaza’s Information and Data
Unit, told QNN that 52 percent of medical devices, 71 percent of medical
consumables, and 70 percent of laboratory equipment are no longer
available. He added that 56 percent of chronic patients, including those
with diabetes, heart disease, and kidney failure, cannot access their
medication regularly. Medical imaging capacity has also collapsed.
According to data provided to QNN, Gaza now has zero MRI machines. The
number of CT scanners has dropped from 17 to just 7. X-ray devices have
fallen from 75 to 22. More than 55 percent of laboratory equipment has
been destroyed, forcing the suspension of many blood and diagnostic
tests. Doctors speaking to QNN warned that shortages of anesthesia
drugs, surgical tools, catheters, IV nutrition, and cancer treatments
place patients with tumors, internal bleeding, heart attacks, and kidney
failure at extreme risk. Travel restrictions worsen the crisis. Health
officials stated that around 19,500 patients are waiting for permission
to seek treatment abroad. Only 50 to 100 patients are allowed to leave
Gaza each month. At least 1,122 patients have died due to delayed or
denied travel, including 155 children, 166 women, and 300 elderly
people. Over two years, Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza has killed more
than 70,000 Palestinians and injured over 171,000 others. The genocide
has destroyed about 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure,
including much of its healthcare system.} Video - Source: https://qudsnen.co/post?id=66920&slug=israeli-attacks-continue-across-gaza-killing-two-civilians

{US considers sanctions on Spanish ships after Madrid blocks arms cargo
to Israel
The United States is weighing port bans and fines of up to $2.3 million
per voyage against Spanish ships after Madrid blocked vessels carrying
weapons to Israel, deepening diplomatic tensions over the Israeli
genocide in Gaza.
Washington (QNN)- The United States is considering sanctions against
Spanish-flagged ships after Spain blocked vessels carrying weapons to
Israel during the genocide in Gaza, reported Israeli channel 14.
Washington says Spain’s decision 'harms maritime trade'. Madrid says it
will not allow its ports or airspace to support arms deliveries linked
to Israel’s genocide in Gaza. The dispute escalated after Spain denied a
US vessel direct access to one of its ports. The ship was carrying
weapons destined for the occupation state of Israel, according to
Spanish officials. Following the move, US authorities began reviewing
retaliatory steps. These may include banning Spanish ships from entering
US ports or imposing heavy financial penalties. The US Federal Maritime
Commission (FMC) confirmed it is studying possible measures against
Spain and shipping companies linked to it. The commission said Spain
refused docking access to vessels carrying 'cargo' for Israel. The FMC
said Spain blocked two US container ships and a Danish-flagged cargo
ship in late 2024. It also said Spain later denied entry to three
US-flagged ships at APM terminals in Algeciras in November 2024.
According to the commission, Spain has now adopted a formal policy. The
policy bans ships and aircraft carrying weapons for Israel from using
Spanish ports and airspace. It also blocks fuel tankers meant for
Israeli military use. The FMC said this policy creates what it described
as unfavorable conditions for US maritime commerce. US officials are now
considering several responses. These include fines for each voyage,
limits on cargo types, and restrictions on Spanish-flagged ships
entering US ports. Under US federal rules, fines could reach up to $2.3
million per voyage. The commission also said it may ask Homeland
Security Secretary Kristi Noem to block ship entry or exit, collect
fines, or detain vessels before departure from US ports. The probe comes
amid growing diplomatic tension between Washington and Madrid over
Israel's genocide in Gaza. Spain ranks among Israel’s strongest critics
in Europe. Madrid halted arms imports and exports linked to Israel. It
also called for a European arms embargo and joined international legal
action against Israel. This comes following an Israeli genocide in Gaza
that killed over 70,000 Palestinians, most of them are women and
children, jn ine of the most horrific atrocities in recent history.}

{Israel Prepares Intelligence Dossier to Push Trump Toward New War
Against Iran
Israel is preparing an intelligence dossier for US President Donald
Trump ahead of his Florida meeting withICC-wanted Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu, seeking to push Washington toward tougher action
against Iran, including the possibility of new war.
Occupied Palestine (QNN)- Israel is preparing a comprehensive
intelligence file to present to US President Donald Trump during an
expected meeting in Florida with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu, who is wanted by the ICC over war crimes in Gaza. The goal is
to persuade Trump to take 'concrete steps' against Iran, according to
Israel Hayom. These steps may include a new military strike, according
to the report published Sunday. The newspaper said Trump remains
hesitant about decisive action. Netanyahu aims to use the meeting to
agree on a joint roadmap and closer coordination to address what Israel
calls the Iranian threat. Sources cited by the Israeli newspaper said
the intelligence file will focus on several issues. These include
allegatiins concerning a renewed nuclear program, development of
ballistic missiles, and the activities of the Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The file will also highlight claims about Iran’s support of armed groups
across the region, which Israel labels as terrorism. According to the
report, Tel Aviv believes the fall of the Iranian regime is the only
solution. Israel is reportedly studying multiple options in parallel.
These include military and economic measures, along with support for
internal opposition to destabilize the government in Tehran. The
developments come after direct US military involvement earlier this
year. In June 2025, the United States, under Trump’s leadership and with
Netanyahu’s incitement, carried out air attacks on Iranian nuclear
facilities. The operation was named Midnight Hammer. It targeted the
Fordow uranium enrichment site, the Natanz nuclear facility, and sites
in Isfahan. The attacks took place in full coordination with Israel. US
forces used GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs, each weighing
30,000 pounds. Northrop Grumman B-2 Spirit stealth bombers carried out
the assaults.} Video - Source: https://qudsnen.co/post?id=66923&slug=israel-prepares-intelligence-dossier-to-push-trump-toward-new-war-against-iran

Videoscreen grab: Palestinian lawyers against death

Al Jazeera - Dec 21, 2025 By Mosab Shawer
{Israeli death penalty bill violates international law: Palestinian
analysts
Israel pushes death penalty for Palestinians, prompting accusations of
racism and violations of global conventions. Palestinian prisoners in
Israel already face horrific conditions, with a rights group documenting
the deaths of at least 94 of them in the past two years, and the rape of
prisoners caught on camera. The far-right Israeli minister responsible
for prisons, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has proudly declared that conditions have
gotten harsher for Palestinian prisoners under his watch. And in late
October, he stood over Palestinian prisoners forced to lie face-down on
the floor as he called for the death penalty to be introduced for those
he termed Palestinian “terrorists”.
Ben-Gvir may soon get his wish.
In early November, the Israeli parliament passed the first reading of a
bill that would introduce the death penalty for those convicted of
killing Israelis if they had “racist” motives or were doing it “with the
aim of harming Israel”. The bill clearly targets Palestinians, even as
Israelis carry out deadly attacks against Palestinians in the occupied
West Bank, and Israel continues its killing of Palestinians in Gaza. The
reaction has been stark among Palestinians. What they hear is not just
another legislative measure, but a signal that Israel is planning to
formalise a system of lethal punishment. “This law practically aims to
execute prisoners simply for their struggle for their people’s freedom
and their right to self-determination,” said Farid al-Atrash, the
director of the Independent Commission for Human Rights in the occupied
West Bank. Alarm is widespread among Palestinian lawyers and activists.
They claim that the law fundamentally undermines judicial safeguards,
and warn that it seeks to erase the status of Palestinian detainees as
protected under international law.
Remove protections
Under the draft legislation, Israeli courts – both civil and military –
would gain expanded power to impose mandatory death sentences on
Palestinians convicted of killing Israelis, when such acts are deemed to
have been motivated by nationalistic, racist or hate-based reasons, or
intended to harm the State of Israel or its people. It would also remove
the authority for a government or president to pardon anyone who has
been sentenced to death for those crimes, and it does not require a
panel of judges in a given case to reach a unanimous decision on the
sentence. Palestinian advocates warn that the framework eliminates the
safeguards that previously existed for Palestinian defendants. Al-Atrash
placed the proposed law in stark contrast to the treatment of Israelis
in cases dealing with violence against Palestinians, in which they are
often acquitted.
International humanitarian law
Critics say that the move to legalise the death penalty is part of a
broader effort to strip Palestinians of their protections under
international humanitarian law as an occupied people with a right to
resistance. “The Israeli Knesset [parliament], dominated by the
far-right, is working to turn killing into official legislation,” said
Hassan Breijieh, who is the head of the Bethlehem office of the Wall and
Settlements Resistance Commission. “[The proposed law] is an attempt to
erase international recognition of the Palestinian fighter … and turn
him into a criminal defendant.” Amjad al-Najjar, of the Palestinian
Prisoners’ Club, agreed that the proposed law was an effort to take away
the rights of the Palestinian people. “It is a double crime. It is a
racist law targeting Palestinians, specifically, and also a clear
violation of international law,” said al-Najjar. Saeed al-Awiwi, a
Palestinian lawyer and former judge, framed the proposed law as the
latest clampdown on Palestinian legal rights. Al-Awiwi noted that even
previously permissible access to detainees in Israeli prisons has been
revoked, leaving many prisoners with no meaningful legal representation,
especially inside military courts. He argued that, even before the bill,
many Palestinians died inside prisons without trial, sentencing, or any
due process. If the death penalty becomes codified, the actions that
caused those deaths – torture, medical neglect, and arbitrary detention
– will gain official standing. “The move towards legal execution
legalises actions already practised by the [Israeli] occupation, but
without accountability,” al-Awiwi said.
‘Prosecuting freedom’
For defenders of the Israeli law, it is necessary. Israel’s National
Security Committee said that “its purpose is to cut off terrorism at its
root and create a heavy deterrent”. But human rights organisations such
as Amnesty International have condemned the bill as a form of
institutionalised discrimination targeting Palestinians. Under the
Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law, the execution of
prisoners of war or protected persons – including those under occupation
– is prohibited. The proposed law would contravene that rule. Experts
said that it was part of a wider shift, from a system in which death –
through torture, neglect, or violence – was an extrajudicial byproduct
of occupation, to a system where death becomes a lawful sentence. “When
the occupation criminalises the act of resistance, it is not only
prosecuting the prisoner, but prosecuting the very idea of freedom
itself,” said Breijieh. For Palestinians, the bill is therefore more
than just a piece of legislation, but a benchmark in how occupied
peoples are treated, and whether existing norms of international
humanitarian law survive or collapse. “The law means the collapse of the
international system,” said al-Najjar. “The occupation has no legal,
moral, or political right to issue death sentences against an occupied
people.”} Video - Source: https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2025/12/21/israeli-death-penalty-bill-violates-international-law-palestinian-analysts

Videoscreen grab: Dr Hussam Abu Safia
Al Jazeera - Dec 21, 2025 By Milena Veselinovic
{Vigil in London for Palestinian prisoners held in Israel
Dozens of people gathered in central London on Saturday, calling for the
release of Palestinian prisoners held in Israel. Tens of people gathered
in central London on Saturday to call for the release of Palestinian
prisoners held in Israeli jails, drawing attention to those detained
under what Israel calls ”administrative detention” — a system under
which people can be held for indefinite renewable periods of time
without a charge and without having committed an offence — on the
grounds that a person plans to break the law in the future. Activists
wore red ribbons, which they said symbolised danger and urgency, in an
effort to draw the world’s attention to the plight of Palestinian
prisoners. Organisers of the vigil said they wanted the gathering to
mark the start of a global campaign. There was a particular focus on Dr
Hussam Abu Safia, former director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, who
was taken from that medical facility by the Israeli army in December
2024. His lawyer and family members say he has been beaten, tortured and
subjected to inhumane treatment in Israeli custody, including prolonged
periods of solitary confinement. “We are clear about this vocabulary –
they are hostages, not like any prisoners, and our symbol today is Dr
Hussam Abu Safia,” said Adnan Hmidan, chair of the Palestinian Forum in
the United Kingdom and the event organiser. “They collected him from the
hospital while he was wearing his white coat and took him in the tank,
in front of everyone in that hospital,” Hmidan said, adding that some
Palestinian detainees are unable to see their lawyers and do not have
court dates. Addameer, a Palestinian human rights organisation tracking
political prisoners, said there are 9,300 Palestinian political
prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons, with the majority of them
held without trial or charge. The group said the figure does not include
detainees held in Israeli military camps. Addameer said there are at
least 3,350 Palestinians arrested from the occupied West Bank who are
classified as ”administrative detainees”. Israeli human rights
organisation, B’Tselem, said, according to official figures from the
Israel Prison Service, about 10,900 Palestinians were being held in
Israeli prisons or detention facilities on “security” grounds as of late
2025. This includes 2,931 people from the Gaza Strip, according to the
same source. Activists and human rights advocates at the London vigil
said they hoped their campaign would eventually have a tangible effect.
“It’s also to remind people what’s going on, and that we haven’t
forgotten them, and I know from other sources that people in Gaza, in
Palestine, appreciate that we here are doing all that we can,” Eva Nazem
told Al Jazeera. “People who could do something are staying quiet, not
doing enough, the government, and we just need to keep putting the
pressure on,” Nazem said. “Our presence here is twofold. It’s to remind
people that it isn’t over, the ceasefire is in name only. It’s not
effective. People like Dr Safia, who have been absolute heroes, are
imprisoned and tortured, and it’s not acceptable,” she said. As people
stood in silence holding placards, Palestinian Forum’s Hmidan was keen
not to frame the London event as a demonstration or a protest march,
instead describing it as “a silent, peaceful act of solidarity”. “There
are many ways of lobbying and campaigning. We respect different kinds of
protest, but here we have something about humanitarian issues,” he said.
“They [Palestinian prisoners] are human, they have their own stories,
they have their own families,” Hmidan told Al Jazeera.} Video - Source:

Acute Malnutrition Threatens More Babies and Children
UN News - Dec 19, 2025
{Gaza famine pushed back, but millions still face hunger and
malnutrition, UN says
A woman standing outside a weathered tent prepares food. She stands in
an area surrounded by makeshift tents and improvised shelters at a
settlement in Gaza City. Food security in Gaza has improved since the
ceasefire declared in October, pushing back famine conditions, but the
situation remains critical with more than three-quarters of the
population still facing acute hunger and malnutrition, a new UN-backed
analysis has found. According to the latest IPC report – a global
tracking of malnutrition and food insecurity – no areas of Gaza are
currently classified as being in famine (IPC Phase 5), following
improved humanitarian and commercial access after the 10 October
ceasefire. However, nearly the entire Gaza Strip remains in emergency
(IPC Phase 4), with hundreds of thousands of people still experiencing
very high acute malnutrition rates. Between mid-October and the end of
November, around 1.6 million people – roughly 77 per cent of the
population analysed – faced crisis-level hunger (Phase 3) or worse. This
included more than 500,000 people in emergency (Phase 4) and over
100,000 people in catastrophe (Phase 5), the report said.
Gains ‘perilously fragile’
UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the latest findings show
progress, but warned that the gains remain “fragile – perilously so.”
“Famine has been pushed back. Far more people are able to access the
food they need to survive,” he told reporters at UN Headquarters, in New
York. He added, however, that 1.6 million people in Gaza – more than 75
per cent of the population – “are projected to face extreme levels of
acute food insecurity and critical malnutrition risks.”
The IPC analysis projects that through mid-April 2026, around 571,000
people will remain in emergency conditions, while approximately 1,900
people are expected to continue facing catastrophe-level hunger. Under a
worst-case scenario – including renewed hostilities or a halt in
humanitarian and commercial inflows – the entire Gaza Strip could again
face famine.
Malnutrition major concern
Malnutrition remains a major concern, particularly among children and
pregnant and breastfeeding women. Nearly 101,000 children aged six to 59
months are expected to suffer from acute malnutrition through
mid-October 2026, including more than 31,000 severe cases. An estimated
37,000 pregnant and breastfeeding women are also projected to require
treatment. While food aid has increased, the report stresses that
assistance is largely meeting only basic survival needs. Health
services, water and sanitation systems, housing and livelihoods remain
badly damaged, leaving families vulnerable – particularly during winter.
‘Truly durable’ ceasefire needed
“Families are enduring the unendurable,” Mr. Guterres said, describing
children sleeping in flooded tents and buildings collapsing under heavy
rain and wind. He said humanitarian teams are preparing more than 1.5
million hot meals daily, reopening nutrition centres and restoring water
and health services, but warned that needs continue to grow faster than
aid delivery. “We need a truly durable ceasefire,” he said, calling for
more crossings into Gaza, fewer restrictions on critical supplies, safe
routes within the Strip, sustained funding and unimpeded humanitarian
access. The IPC report underscores that without sustained and expanded
access, continued aid and the rebuilding of essential infrastructure,
Gaza’s food security situation could rapidly deteriorate again, with
long-lasting consequences for an already traumatized population.}
