{UN General Assembly Demands Israel Comply With World Court Order on
Gaza Aid
UN General Assembly overwhelmingly urges Israel to allow aid into Gaza,
with the US and Israel voting against amid a worsening humanitarian
crisis.
Gaza (QNN)- The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Friday that
urges Israel to comply with the International Court of Justice ruling
and allow aid into Gaza. The vote came during a session on a draft
submitted by Norway and supported by 13 countries. The resolution,
titled Strengthening the United Nations System, passed with 139 votes in
favor. Twelve countries, led by the United States and Israel, voted
against it. Nineteen countries abstained. The resolution requires Israel
to provide food, water, medicine, and shelter to Gaza’s population. It
also demands that Israel stop obstructing relief operations. It calls
for full, unhindered access for humanitarian agencies. The text stresses
that UNRWA remains essential for delivering aid in Gaza. It also
reaffirms the UN’s responsibility toward the question of Palestine until
a comprehensive solution is reached. Israel’s genocide in Gaza has
continued since 7 October 2023 with full American support. The genocide
includes mass killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement.
Israel has ignored international calls to stop the genocide and has
defied ICJ orders. Nearly 70,000 Palestinians, most of them women and
children, have been killed. Around 160,000 have been injured. A
ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel took
effect on 10 October. It was supposed to halt the genocide. Israel
violated the deal many times and killed and injured hundreds of
Palestinian civilians.} Source: https://qudsnen.co/post?id=66873&slug=un-general-assembly-demands-israel-comply-with-world-court-order-on-gaza-aid

{UK Threatened ICC Over Netanyahu Arrest Warrant, Prosecutor Says
A leaked ICC filing reveals that UK and US officials pressured
Prosecutor Karim Khan to halt arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu,
raising new questions about political interference in international
justice.
London (QNN)- The British government threatened to defund the
International Criminal Court and quit the Rome Statute if it moved ahead
with an arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu. ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan
revealed that in a new submission defending his decision to pursue
charges against Israel’s prime minister, reported The Guardian. Khan
said the threat came during a call with a British official on 23 April
2024. He did not name the official, but reports suggest it may have been
the then-foreign secretary, David Cameron. According to Khan, the
official argued that warrants for Netanyahu and former defence minister
Yoav Gallant would be “disproportionate.” Khan also said a US official
warned him in April 2024 that issuing the warrants would lead to
“disastrous consequences.” He said the US pushed him to delay. Khan
refused because he saw no sign that the Israeli government planned to
cooperate with the court or change its conduct in Gaza. In another call
on 1 May, Khan said US Senator Lindsey Graham warned that issuing the
warrants would signal to Hamas that it “may as well shoot Israeli
hostages.” Khan also described a wave of personal pressure during the
same period. He said he first learned on 2 May of sexual misconduct
allegations against him. On 6 May, he was told that someone had filed a
complaint with the ICC’s Internal Oversight Mechanism without the
alleged victim’s consent. The complainant did not wish to pursue the
case, and the matter was dropped. Khan said the allegations resurfaced
only when an anonymous X account revived them in October. Khan’s
submission stresses that he acted neutrally and did not seek any
personal gain. He said the plan to issue the warrants came before the
allegations and the political pressure. He argued that it is wrong for
applicants to cite selective media reports to push claims that he should
be disqualified. He said his preparation for the case was careful and
detailed. Khan also pushed back strongly against an Israeli request to
dismiss the warrants. He reportedly insisted on sending a forceful
22-page response after reading what he considered a weak initial draft.
He said he assembled a panel of international law experts to judge
whether the ICC had jurisdiction and whether a case should move forward
against Netanyahu and Gallant.} Source: https://qudsnen.co/post?id=66872&slug=uk-threatened-icc-over-netanyahu-arrest-warrant-prosecutor-says

{New footage shows six Israeli captives held in Gaza tunnel prior to
deaths
The footage, aired on Israeli TV, shows the captives observing Hanukkah
in a Gaza tunnel months before they died. Israeli media outlets have
aired footage of six Israeli captives lighting Hanukkah candles in a
Hamas tunnel in Gaza, eight months before their deaths during Israel’s
genocidal war in the besieged enclave. The footage, depicting captives
Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Ori
Danino and Alex Lobanov, was released online on Thursday night after
being aired on Israeli television. The Israeli military said the footage
had been filmed by Hamas for propaganda purposes but never released, and
had been recovered by the Israeli military during its operations in
Gaza. The footage, which had previously only been shown to the captives’
families, differed from other clips of Israeli captives released during
the war, which typically showed the Israelis reading statements. It
showed the captives marking Hanukkah in December 2023 by lighting
candles and singing, some 80 days into their captivity and eight months
before they were killed in August 2024. Israel says the six were killed
by being shot at close range by their captors in Rafah’s Tal as-Sultan
neighbourhood on August 29, 2024, and discovered by the Israeli military
two days later, before their remains were returned home. The captives
were also shown eating as they marked the start of the new year in 2024,
as well as playing cards and backgammon. One of the captives,
Goldberg-Polin, was shown missing the lower part of his left arm, which
was blown off by a grenade during the Hamas-led attack in southern
Israel on October 7, 2023, Israeli media reported. The families of the
captives depicted in the footage released a statement saying the clips
depicted their loved ones’ humanity, unity and strength. “Lighting the
candles in this dark place is the Jewish essence of the heroism of light
over darkness,” said the statement. “Hamas filmed the videos as part of
a plot to spread propaganda, but the humanity of the six heroes shines
through.” Israeli media reported that the bodies of the six captives
were found about 1km (0.6 miles) from where another captive, Farhan
al-Qadi, had been rescued by the Israeli military just days earlier. The
return of the captives, both living and dead, was a central plank of the
US-brokered ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas. On October 13, as
per the deal, Hamas released all 20 remaining living Israeli captives in
exchange for 250 Palestinians serving long prison sentences and 1,700
Palestinians disappeared by Israel since the start of the war. Many of
the returned Palestinians described beatings and abuse during their time
in Israeli detention. In subsequent exchanges of remains, 27 of the 28
bodies of Israeli captives have been returned, as well as more than 300
Palestinian bodies, many of which were mutilated and showed signs of
torture and execution. Many remain unidentified, leaving families with
missing relatives unable to find closure in their mourning. Hamas has
said it requires heavy excavation equipment to recover the last
remaining Israeli captive’s body from under the rubble caused by Israeli
bombardment.} Video - Source: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/12/12/new-footage-shows-six-israeli-captives-held-in-gaza-tunnel-prior-to-deaths

Washington (QNN)- Political commentator Tucker Carlson said Israel
“murdered tens of thousands of women and children in Gaza” on purpose
and added he witnessed “the cruelty of the evil Israeli regime.” During
his recent trip to Doha, Carlson and his team visited some of the 2,000
Palestinians from Gaza who have been evacuated from Gaza by Qatar,
including orphans and child amputees. In a new episode on Thursday of
the Tucker Carlson Show, Carlson showcased footage from inside the
Qatari facilities hosting the Palestinians. Carlson said the
Palestinians have suffered so much. “We didn't want to stick a big
camera into the people’s faces, so we shot with an iPhone,” he added. He
said he and his team “had to hold back tears” as they witnessed “the
cruelty of the evil Israeli regime”, expressed through the injuries of
children. “Disfigured kids with their limbs blown off, and mangled
faces. The real crime is that the supporters of this atrocity are
justifying it,” Carlson noted. The former CNN and Fox News commentator
added that Israel shot “dozens and dozens of journalists so that no one
can film what’s happening”. Besides, Carlson said, Qatar wanted to
evacuate and host far more Palestinians, but Israel “would not allow
it”. The episode and his visit to the Gaza refugees have received a wave
of praise on social media this week, for “giving a voice to Gaza.”

Al Jazeera - Dec 12, 2025 - By Tim Hume and AP
{ICC judges stoic in face of US sanctions over Israeli war crimes cases
Staff at the International Criminal Court have described the sweeping
effect of US sanctions on their daily lives. Judges and prosecutors at
the International Criminal Court (ICC) have been cut off by banks,
credit card companies and tech giants like Amazon as a result of
sanctions brought by the United States President Donald Trump
administration over war crimes investigations into Israeli and US
officials. The Associated Press news agency reported on Friday on the
sweeping and punitive effect of the US sanctions on nine staff members –
including six judges and the chief prosecutor – of The Hague court. The
measures, introduced in an executive order by Trump earlier this year,
block their access to basic financial services and everyday activities
like online shopping and email, and prevent them from entering the US,
subjecting them to the same restrictions as those brought against
figures like Russian President Vladimir Putin, who nevertheless was
allowed to visit the US state of Alaska for a summit with Trump in
August. “Your whole world is restricted,” Canadian judge Kimberly Prost,
one of the ICC officials targeted by the sanctions, told AP. The ICC,
the world’s permanent war crimes tribunal with 125 member states, was
targeted with the restrictions in February, with the White House saying
the move was in response to the “illegitimate and baseless actions
targeting America and our close ally Israel”. The order followed the
ICC’s move to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for “crimes
against humanity and war crimes” committed during its genocidal war on
Gaza. Neither Israel nor the US is a member of the ICC.
‘Now I’m on a list with those implicated in terrorism’
Prost, who was named in the latest round of sanctions in August, told AP
that she had lost access to her credit cards, had purchased e-books
vanish from her device, and Amazon’s Alexa stopped responding to her.
“It’s the uncertainty,” she said. “They are small annoyances, but they
accumulate.” Prost had been sanctioned for voting to allow the court’s
investigation into alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity
committed in Afghanistan, including by US soldiers and intelligence
operatives. “I’ve worked all my life in criminal justice, and now I’m on
a list with those implicated in terrorism and organised crime,” she
said. Luz del Carmen Ibanez Carranza, a sanctioned Peruvian judge, said
the US travel sanctions, which also extended to family members, meant
her daughters could no longer attend conferences in the US. The
sanctions threaten businesses and individuals with substantial US fines
and prison time if they provide sanctioned people with “financial,
material, or technological support”, driving them to withdraw services
to the targeted individuals. “You’re never quite sure when your card is
not working somewhere, whether this is just a glitch or whether this is
the sanction,” deputy prosecutor Nazhat Shameem Khan told the AP.
Reports of threats over warrants
The sanctions are reportedly only one of the measures that have been
levelled against the court in an attempt to exert pressure over the
arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant. In July, the Middle East
Eye (MEE) website reported that the court’s chief prosecutor, Karim
Khan, was warned that he and the ICC would be “destroyed” if the
warrants were not withdrawn. The threat reportedly came from Nicholas
Kaufman, a British-Israeli defence lawyer at the court linked to a
Netanyahu adviser. Khan said the Israeli leader’s legal adviser told him
he was “authorised” to make Khan a proposal that would allow the
prosecutor to “climb down the tree”, the news website reported. The site
reported in August that Khan had also been privately warned by
then-British Foreign Secretary David Cameron in April the previous year
that the UK would defund and withdraw from the ICC if it issued the
warrants against Netanyahu and Gallant, while in May 2024, US Republican
Senator Lindsey Graham also “threatened” Khan with sanctions if he
applied for the warrants. In May, Khan’s office announced he had taken a
leave of absence pending the conclusion of a UN-led investigation into
allegations of sexual misconduct against him, with two deputy
prosecutors assuming his responsibilities. His lawyers said he rejected
all claims of wrongdoing and had only stepped aside temporarily due to
intense media scrutiny.} Video - Source: https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/12/12/icc-judges-stoic-in-face-of-us-sanctions-over-israeli-war-crimes-cases

Medical equipment destroyed
UN News - Dec 11, 2025
{Gaza’s maternal and newborn health system ‘decimated’, UN warns
Medical equipment destroyed in an attack on a hospital in Gaza.
Gaza’s health system for mothers and newborns has been “decimated”, the
UN said on Thursday, with Israeli attacks destroying almost all
hospitals, cutting off medical supplies and driving sharp rises in
maternal deaths, miscarriages and newborn fatalities amid mass
displacement and hunger. According to the UN human rights office
(OHCHR), more than 70,000 Palestinians have been killed since 7 October
2023, when Palestinian armed groups attacked communities in southern
Israel, triggering Israel’s full-scale military assault on the enclave.
OHCHR said 94 per cent of Gaza’s hospitals have been damaged or
destroyed, leaving pregnant women and newborns without essential care.
“The Israeli blockade has also prevented the entry of objects
indispensable to the survival of civilians, including medical supplies
and nutrients required to sustain pregnancies and ensure safe
childbirth,” the Office said. By late 2024, women in Gaza were three
times more likely to die in childbirth and three times more likely to
miscarry compared with pre-war levels, while newborn deaths also
increased, OHCHR reported.
Hospitals destroyed, medical staff killed
Israeli strikes hit maternity wards and neonatal intensive care units,
while the December 2023 shelling of Gaza’s largest fertility clinic
caused the loss of over 4,000 embryos and 1,000 sperm and egg specimens.
Medical personnel have also been targeted, OHCHR said, citing
Palestinian Ministry of Health figures reporting 1,722 healthcare
workers killed as of September 2025. Dr. Ambereen Sleemi, a gynecologist
who volunteered in Gaza, told OHCHR: “As we did our rounds, bombs were
going off in the background...Sometimes quadcopters would come in and
try to shoot nurses or literally chase them through the hospital
corridors.” She said pregnant women arrived with gunshot wounds,
including to the abdomen. “Many women were simply too injured to
survive. If their injuries did not claim their lives, then sepsis often
did, as there were not enough medical supplies or antibiotics.”
Hunger factor
The blockade has driven severe shortages of food and baby formula. As of
October 2025, 463 Palestinians had died from malnutrition, including 157
children, the Ministry of Health reported. Jonathan Crix of UN
Children’s Fund (UNICEF), speaking from Gaza, told UN News that children
and families enduring winter storms in makeshift tents: “Everything was
completely damp...the mattresses were wet; the children’s clothes were
wet. It’s extremely difficult to live in those conditions.” He warned of
a surge in acute watery diarrhoea and fears of further disease
outbreaks. “With the very poor hygiene conditions and very limited
sanitation system available, we are extremely concerned to see the
spreading of waterborne diseases.”
West Bank barriers grow
OHCHR also voiced alarm over Israel’s construction of a new barrier and
road in the Jordan Valley. Ajith Sunghay, the Head of Office in the
Occupied Palestinian Territory, said this would “separate Palestinian
communities from each other and the Palestinian farmers in Tubas from
land they own on the other side of the planned barrier.” He also warned
that it would be “another step towards the progressive fragmentation of
the West Bank, which will eventually lead to the consolidation of
annexation,” stressing that that rights of Palestinian refugee status
“cannot be stripped or altered by unilateral coercive measures.”}
