Bolsonaro, the president of Brasil, keeps going on with allowing the
rainforest to be chopped down or does it himself, and all to financially
benefit
from it. More than 20 percent of the Amazon rainforest is already gone,
and much more is severely threatened as the destruction continues. It is
estimated that the Amazon alone is vanishing at a rate of 20,000 square
miles a year. If nothing is done to curb this trend, the entire Amazon
could well be gone within fifty years.

However. on Tuesday Sept. 22nd. 2020 Bolsonaro told the United
Nations that Indigenous people in the Amazon were to blame for fires in
the rainforest this year and thus its destruction and not him. Bolsonaro,
that's what I call a contadiction in terminus.
